China Taiwan Net News on December 10th On December 9th, a delegation of 28 people from the Taiwan Strait Women's Economic and Cultural Exchange Association came to Beijing to attend the "2019 China Top 100 Women's Business Entrepreneurship Summit Forum", led by the head of the delegation, Cai Linglan , Visited the Beijing Taiwan Association. Wang Landong, the secretary of the Party Group of the Beijing Federation of Taiwan Unions, and Gao Feng, the chairman of the party, accompanied and visited the forum.
Beijing Taiwan Guild Hall was founded around 1893. It was originally a place for Taiwanese scholars to go to Beijing to study and rush to take exams. It is an important cultural heritage of Taiwan related to Beijing. It carries the common historical memory and cultural heritage of compatriots on both sides of the strait, and has witnessed Great changes. Today's Taiwan Pavilion integrates functions such as display, reception, conference, and cultural experience. It is an important platform for promoting Beijing-Taiwan exchanges and serving Taiwanese folks. In 2018, it was approved as a "cross-strait exchange base" by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
Following the mentoring of the interpreters, the delegation visited the centennial hall and its permanent exhibitions of "Chinese Soul, Beijing and Taiwan Love" and "The Imperial Examination System in Taiwan-Taiwan Jinshi Special Exhibition". I learned more about the past and present of the Taiwanese Guild Hall, felt the history of Taiwanese living and working in Beijing, deeply moved by their struggle, and stopped to take a group photo.
At the subsequent symposium, Wang Landong introduced the main work of the city's Taiwan Federation from the aspects of serving in Beijing and Taiwan compatriots, conducting Beijing-Taiwan exchanges, and managing Taiwanese clubs. He pointed out that the Beijing Taiwan Federation adheres to the working principle of “grasping the situation, studying the laws, paying attention to methods, and improving quality and efficiency”, and follows the working method of “building platforms, building channels, making friends, and promoting cooperation” to give full play to the people involved in Taiwan. The active role of organizations in "friendship, solidarity, coordination, and service", etc., has steadily and continuously promoted grass-roots exchanges and non-governmental exchanges between Beijing and Taiwan in the fields of culture, economy, trade, science and technology, education, and youth. ", 16 brand activity projects including the" Township Association "and" Clan Association "have exerted extensive influence on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and promoted the emotional integration and spiritual harmony of compatriots on both sides of the strait.
Cai Linglan, head of the delegation and chairman of the presidium of the Central Review Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, introduced the situation of the Cross-Strait Women's Economic and Cultural Exchange Association, which actively integrates social resources across the strait, promotes various social services, promotes the harmonious development of cross-strait women, and plans for cross-strait women. Cross-strait exchanges such as rights and interests, economy and trade, culture and arts, religion, tourism, academic culture and trade forums are the goals. She said that although she has come to Beijing many times, this is the first time she has come to the Taiwanese Guild Hall, where she can feel a strong affection and a deep historical and cultural atmosphere. This is the home of Taiwan compatriots in Beijing. I hope that there will be more exchanges and cooperation between the two places in Beijing and Taiwan, in order to seek long-term development in all areas, to achieve shared win-win situation.
