On November 4, 20 departments, including the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Central Organization Department of the Commercial Affairs Bureau, issued "Several Measures on Further Promoting Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Exchanges and Cooperation" (referred to as "26 measures"). After the "26 measures" was released, they were warmly welcomed and affirmed by the majority of Taiwan compatriots and enterprises. Zhu Fenglian: Yesterday, the competent civil aviation authorities on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have confirmed the details of overtime flights and specific arrangements for the 2020 Chinese New Year and announced them. The two parties plan to approve all overtime plans by December 31, 2019 to facilitate traveller booking and arrangement.
Previously, at the request of the National Taiwan Enterprise Association, the local Taiwan Association and the broad masses of compatriots, the competent aviation department of the Mainland has repeatedly suggested to the competent aviation authorities of Taiwan that the reasonable demands of the majority of Taiwan compatriots to return home in early January should be fully met. After many times of communication, we have obtained the result that the airlines of both sides arranged to increase flights from January 9 to 10, so that the majority of Taiwan compatriots can return home smoothly.
