China Taiwan Net Beijing December 25. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference this morning. Zhu Fenglian, spokesman of the State Council Taiwan Office, presided over the press conference.
On November 4, 20 departments, including the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Central Organization Department of the Commercial Affairs Bureau, issued "Several Measures on Further Promoting Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Exchange and Cooperation" (referred to as "26 measures"). After the "26 measures" was released, they were warmly welcomed and affirmed by the majority of Taiwan compatriots and enterprises. In order to let everyone know the details of the "26 measures" in detail, this press conference specially invited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive a guarantee center Executive Deputy Director Yang Shu, Deputy Director Wang Zhiwei of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the Ministry of Education, Li Jinsheng, Deputy Director of the Professional and Technical Personnel Management Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Hong Wei Inspector of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the State Sports General Administration Director Wu Jian, I would like to introduce in detail the "Several Measures on Further Promoting Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Exchanges and Cooperation," which involves 13 measures to provide Taiwan compatriots with equal treatment.
China News Agency reporter: Second question, the US House of Representatives and Senate recently passed the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act to support arms sales to Taiwan, expand high-level military officers and military exchanges with Taiwan, etc., and asked the U.S. intelligence agencies to be in Taiwan After the election, submit a report on "intervention or sabotage" of the mainland elections in Taiwan. The DPP authorities are grateful for this. What's your comment on this? Thank you.
Zhu Fenglian: The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have stated their solemn positions on this. The Taiwan issue is China's internal affairs, and no outside interference is allowed. The Taiwan-related content of the bill you mentioned seriously violates the one-China principle and the provisions of the three Sino-US joint communiques. It seriously damages Sino-US relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits. It also openly interferes with elections in Taiwan. We firmly oppose it.
The DPP authorities ignored the peace of the Taiwan Straits and the well-being of Taiwan compatriots. For the benefit of elections, they tried to scorn the attacks on the mainland. They were flattering and close to the US anti-China forces. (China Taiwan Net Jia Ruolan)
